

Title: A Christian Perspective on Domestic Violence
Description of Workshop Series: This series of three 1 1/2 hour workshops
will provide information about the dynamics of domestic violence; help to raise
awareness about the impact of domestic violence on individuals, families, and
communities; and offer practical steps to help build safe and healthy family
relationships from a Christian perspective. (Meeting from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at
Lisle Bible Church, 4526 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, IL)
Workshop Speakers: Dr. Rose Malinowski is a professor of social work at Trinity
Christian College in Palos Heights. She has worked as a social work clinician
and educator for over 25 years specializing in areas of health care, family
violence, and issues of loss and grief. Thay Danielson and Pat Lucas serve as
ministry leaders for Set Free Ministries at the Moody Church in Chicago, a
ministry dedicated to reaching out to women who have experienced abuse,
promoting safety for family members and providing a healthy community of support
through the church.
